Duo Eclettico presents
Parade: works for saxophone, piano, percussion
Duo Eclettico (Justin Kenealy, saxophone, Coady Green, piano) is joined by Brent Miller (Head of Percussion at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music) and iconic Australian actor Helen Morse for a program of works for saxophone, piano, and percussion, all of which are either Australian or World Premieres. The program features a special preview performance of several movements from renowned Linda Kouvaras’ new work Gwen Harwood Poetry, narrated by Helen Morse. The Australian premiere of Elena Kats-Chernin’s dark early work Sarglos is also performed alongside world premieres of Barry Conyngham’s new work Images, written especially for Duo Eclettico, and young Melbourne composer Gulliver Poole’s new work. The program concludes with a rare treat, the Australian premiere of an arrangement of Satie’s ballet Parade for saxophone, piano, and percussion.
